College life is always associated with some junk food. You still wonder why? I’ll tell you! Students are short of both money and time. Therefore, they eat just anything they can afford to suppress their appetite. However, you should be aware that eating fast food for a long time leads to irreversible changes in your body that may cause serious health problems. So, if you wonder how you can provide yourself with healthy nutrition without spending much money, this article is just for you!

Easy Recipes for College Students

Some Ideas for Breakfast

1. Cookie in a Mug

The most important thing you need here is a microwave. Cooking for college students might be a tough challenge, so a microwave is always there to assist you J Regarding the ingredients, you need oatmeal, bananas, and some peanut butter.

2. Scrambled Eggs

If you have a microwave in your dorm room, you will soon become a real chef J Cook scrambled eggs on your own if you got fed up with those that you eat in the canteen.

3. Oatmeal Prepared Overnight

If college cooking takes up too much time and you really have no time to prepare breakfast in the morning, then why not do it the night before? You will surely like our recipe for oatmeal. All you need is oatmeal, some yoghurt, and some seasonal fruit or berries (I like such recipe with blueberries or strawberries). Just put all ingredients in a bowl and leave it in the fridge.

4. Yoghurt with Granola

Buy some muesli, fruit, and yoghurt and put all these ingredients in a jar. You can either mix them or put in layers – it’s up to you! Enjoy this tasty meal.

If breakfast cooking for college students is a kind of a strenuous experience, then what about dinners? Well, we have great and easy recipes J All you need is a microwave, pasta, some milk, and grated cheddar. Enjoy!

College cooking, and even burrito, can be healthy. Prove it yourself! Take some brown rice (previously cooked) and mix it with canned beans. Add some Greek yoghurt and put some avocado and cheese on top.

7. Mediterranean Tuna Salad

A really nutritious dinner! What should you include into your daily ratio if you are leading a healthy lifestyle? Right – fish! Prepare a tuna salad. All you need is lettuce, tuna, some lemon juice, basil, and olive oil.

8. Salmon with Smoked Paprika

If your roommates can’t stand the smell of fish, you’d rather not cook it in the dorm. But, if you like eating fish, you might as well try salmon with some smoked paprika cooked in the microwave.
